Zac Watson

Zac is an accomplished tourism leader with experience spanning both public and private sector roles with Kelly Tarlton’s, the Haka Tourism Group, Auckland Unlimited (formerly ATEED) and now Maverick Digital where he has been General Manager for a year.

He is a current advisory board member for the International Travel College & a former chair of the Young Tourism Export Council (YoungTEC). Named as Tourism Export Council’s “Emerging Leader” in 2022, Zac is passionate about the future of the industry, he believes that technology and networks have the ability to spread value through an ever-changing visitor economy.

He is a graduate of Lincoln University’s Bachelor of Tourism Management and the reason for getting involved in Grow Tourism comes from a desire to match premium tourism experiences through Aotearoa New Zealand, with premium service standards.
