QRC Elevate – powered by Grow Tourism, supported by Hospitality New Zealand – encompasses a range micro-credentials designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to excel in tourism and hospitality. From cultural capability to wellbeing and planning for resilience, each course delivers an internationally-recognised qualification to learners, driving career development and opening new opportunities. Courses are launching in phases from September 2024.
Who are Elevate courses for? Professionals working in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
What is the format of the courses? Compulsory face to face 1-day workshop, followed by 5 weeks of blended learning with weekly tutor check-ins.
What’s the time commitment? Approximately 50 hours of learning over 5-6 weeks, depending on the course.
How much do these micro-credentials cost? $395*.
Entry requirements 18 years or older at the time of course start. You must be a NZ or Australian Citizen, NZ Permanent Resident or NZ Working Holiday Visa Holder.
Certification All courses within the QRC Elevate Powered by Grow Tourism collaboration are NZQA-approved micro credentials. Micro-credentials are small, stand-alone certifications accredited by NZQA and are a formal way of recognising your skills and knowledge in particular areas that employers are looking for.
Can I complete a course while working full-time? Yes. The bulk of learning takes place online, however there is a 1-day compulsory in-person workshop at the start of each course.
